Saudi Arabia claims to be the first country to have granted a robot citizenship. Saudi Arabia granted citizenship to a humanoid robot, it announced at an innovation conference in Riyadh this week. It claims to be the first nation to bestow citizenship upon a robot. Sophia was built by the Hong Kong-based company "Hanson Robotics" in 2015.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched an online portal dedicated to the gallantry award winners, bestowed since Independence. Announcing launch of the website in a series of tweets, the Prime Minister said, the portal will preserve and tell the stories of bravest men and women, civilians as well as armed forces personnel. The website with domain name gallantryawards.gov.in gives details of the Chakra Series awardees. The Chakra series are Param Vir Chakra, Maha Vir Chakra, Vir Chakra, Ashok Chakra, Kirti Chakra and Shaurya Chakra. The portal also contains information such as name, unit, year, citations and photographs of awardees till date.
