The Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC) has become the world’s first ever Metro system to get a green certification for all its major buildings and installations. After getting green certifications for its Phase 3 stations, depots and sub stations, 10 residential colonies of DMRC were also awarded the platinum rating for adherence to green building norms by the IGBC. The Delhi Metro is a metro system serving Delhi and its satellite cities of Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida and Ghaziabad in National Capital Region (NCR). It is the world’s 12th longest metro system in length and 16th largest in ridership.

The International Tiger Day (also known as Global Tiger Day) is celebrated every year on 29 July to raise awareness for tiger conservation. Nawaz Sharif's younger brother Shehbaz Sharif is to be the next Prime Minister of Pakistan, said reports in Pakistan media. A unanimous verdict by five supreme court judges disqualified Nawaz Sharif, saying that he had been dishonest to parliament and the courts and could not be deemed fit for office. Sharif stepped down from his post soon after the verdict.
